Wes Craven's 1971 cult shocker 'The Last House on the Left' remains one of the most notorious American movies of its era. It was widely labeled depraved, lacking in any redeeming social value, and an incitement to violence, and make no mistake, it is without a doubt cheaply made, amateurish, and often poorly written, acted, scored and photographed.
