Poor "Smallville." Just a few short years ago, I would hail "Smallville" as a surprisingly great syndicated TV show with solid characters, interesting lore and depth. The story followed a young Clark Kent as he goes from a naïve farm boy with superpowers to a complex, love-torn adult, cursed with a grand destiny.
