MLB Productions is transferring almost 30 classic World Series films to high-definition. And, for the first time, the films will be aired in HD on the MLB Network. The broadcasts will begin on the network’s opening day, Jan. 1, at 7 p.m. ET, with the 1956 World Series featuring Yankees pitcher Don Larsen pitching a perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers.
