HD Report story says that Sony Pictures is offering $10 e-coupons which can be used on any Blu-ray Disc in the Sony Rewards catalog. To get a $10 coupon, you must join the Sony Pictures Blu-ray Club (free membership) and register ten BD-Live enabled BDs. Along with the coupon, you’ll get 10% off any electronics in the Rewards Catalog.

Warner Home Video has informed that the Blu-ray release of the Spike Lee movie Malcolm X (which had been announced for January 25), has been cancelled due to a rights issue regarding the music cues used in the movie.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced The Bridge on the River Kwai on a Collector's Edition Blu-ray/DVD set, with a release date of November 2. The blockbuster smash The Dark Knight has set a new Blu-ray sales record, selling 600,000 copies in the US on its first day of release. According to Warner Home Video, Blu-ray sales accounted for over 21 percent of the total units sold.

Disney/Pixar’s animated film “Wall•E” will be released this coming Tuesday on DVD and Blu-ray. On DVD, you’ll be able to choose between single-disc and three-disc versions. On Blu-ray, there will be 2-disc and 3-disc versions. A
